Print Advertisements for Key Curriculum Press
Print advertisements for the Northern California based textbook and software publisher.
The Challenge
Key Curriculum Press was a small, independent textbook and software publisher in a marketplace controlled by a few giant corporate publishers. They needed a way for their advertising efforts to stand out and communicate their unique products and mission.
The Solution
I worked closely with my Art Director to develop a series of advertisements that communicated Key Curriculum Press’s mission to create textbooks and software that focused on student engagement and active participation.
I created a series of illustrations that visualized the process students go through when they make connections between lessons in their textbooks and applications in their everyday lives.
The designs visualize the learning process and the flow from concept to concept.
Bold, bright colors were used in the designs. However, we deliberately chose not to use primary colors. Key Curriculum Press’s products never talk down to students, so we wanted the color palette to appear sophisticated rather than juvenile or childish.
